Background
He was born and raised in the Land of Iron, and being the son of a powerful Samurai he was quickly pressured into undergoing swordsmanship himself. As a youngster he was far too weak to hold a sword for too long, and he never had a lot of stamina. In practice matches he was always defeated by his peers, sometimes in single moves. Through his countless defeats he remained determined to make his father proud, and prove himself as a capable Samurai. His discipline with the blade improved over time, and by undergoing intense physical conditioning and maintaining a proper diet he managed to reach a level of swordsmanship not possible by many. He was always weaker than his peers, so he learned to become faster and more evasive than his peers. After his first victory in a practice match, he never lost a single one after that. His attack and movement speeds were unparalleled, and he earned the title of "Second Wind" Yuusuke for his impressive comeback, as well as his swordsmanship style; he is known for his second attack always being more important than his first. He eventually left the Land of Iron in order to find his place in the world, seeing as how he was not fit to be a traditional Samurai in the Land of Iron's military. During his travels he visited Hidden Villages where Shinobi reside and has performed their missions as a "mercenary" of sorts, and accomplished them at a slightly lower price than what they offer. Due to not being a Shinobi that is bound to a Hidden Village, the ranks of the missions usually do not matter to him. He has performed assassination missions and guard missions; the guarded recall his blade being impossible to follow due to his speed, and as such he has been given the title of "Slash God" by those outside of the Land of Iron. He continues to strive for power and excellence in his travels, since he has a lot more moving around to do before he kicks the bucket.

Weapon
A normal katana by its outward appearance, but it has been modified to improve his attack speed and recovery time. This is accomplished by distributing the weight differently throughout the katana's blade than a typical katana. The katana was a prototype weapon created for a member of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, but it was inferior to the second weapon and was discarded by the blacksmith who resided in the Land of Iron. The katana was recovered after being stored away for many years, and was recreated in the same fashion to match the prototype, if not succeed it. It has no special properties aside from the increased attack speed and recovery time it grants the wielder.

Techniques
+ Howling Gale: The wind around Yuusuke suddenly increases in speed and the currents move in more directions than normal. This creates a powerful flow of wind around him that serves many purposes in combat.

+ Victory Strike: This is Yuusuke's trademark technique that involves him performing a normal attack in the beginning, and then using a second attack to achieve victory. This technique has earned him the title of "Second Wind" Yuusuke. It doesn't always work, but it's very effective. It relies on deceiving the opponent with a normal slash in the beginning, and then using wind behind his arm and katana to increase the speed of his second attack that occurs immediately after his first attack. Due to the nature of his katana, he is able to recover from his first attack and execute his second one, usually before his opponent can even recover from his first attack.

+ Infinity Edge: The wind around Yuusuke's katana begins to compress and spiral around his blade violently. This makes the range of his attacks extend by a slight amount, making narrow evasions against his slashes null. The compressed air around his blade can be released during a slash to create a countless amount of "wind blades" that spread out from the slashed area and scatter around to shred and tear the path ahead of him. The distance of the attack is limited, as the wind blades lose their value after traveling a certain distance, but the width of the attack makes up for it. It can be best described as a "shotgun" technique.

+ Feathered Feet: Yuusuke can alter the direction and pressure of the wind around him to perform quick dashes and other movements in the air. Some call it levitation, and some call it sky walking. He applies the same method for walking on water and along other surfaces.

+ Heavenly Slash: Yuusuke channels his energy for a moment while keeping a hand on the hilt of his sheathed katana. In an instant, he will unsheathe his katana and perform an extremely fast slash and sheathe his katana immediately afterward. The slash will produce a massive arc of energy that is designed from the direction of his slash and shape of his katana's blade. The energy will travel a long distance before dispersing, and defending against it is very difficult. Evading it is easier than defending against it, but considering it's based off of his wind nature-chakra it is practically invisible. All that can be seen is anything in its path being torn apart, which gives off its position.
